Duration: This course takes approximately 1 year but students can take a shorter period depending on their life experiences and level of qualifications and the modes of study they undertake
Delivery mode: Online, Workplace, and/or flexible delivery
Units & Assessments: 15 Units ( 9 core units + 6 elective units)
Entry requirement: Be over 18 at the time of course commencement. Satisfactorily complete Guidestar Pre-Training Review Process which includes language, literacy and numeracy test (LLN).
Work Placement : Complete 120 hours of supervised practical placement or demonstrate evidence. This qualification will suit students who would like to work in both aged care environment and/or in the disability sector.
Pathways: Personal Care Worker, Aged Care Worker, Care Service Employee, Care Assistant, Home Care Assistant, Residential Aide.
